The Scoop on our Coop
Hello Lovely Readers
As most of you know Cooper was diagnosed with a heart murmur tow weeks ago . We had our first cardiology appointment on Wednesday and after a long morning and a bunch of test we finally have some information!
First: heart murmurs are very very common, 30% off all children have a murmur at some point in there life. A murmur only means that the heart is making a different noise than normal, the tests are to check see why the noise is present. Thus, there are many many different kind of murmurs. Most murmurs are "functional" and the children can live until they are 110 years old and never worry about it.
Here is the Scoop on our Coop
His murmur is due to his Pulmonary veins ( the veins that lead the blood from the heart to the lungs) being very narrow. Because they are so narrow his right ventricle ( the bottom right potion of his heart) is being over worked and is thicker than normal.
At this point he is fine, we will be going on follow up appointments over the next few months to make sure that the Pulmonary veins are not narrowing more as he grows. If they stay like they are now Cooper will lead a very active life and no one will know any diffrent. The news was a little more serious than we thought but not horrible news. The cardiologist thinks he will be fine since he has gained a good amount of weight and has great oxygen levels. They were very reassuring and optimistic.... which makes us feel like everything will be fine as well!
We will keep you posted after our next appointment! Thank you all so much for you prayers, emails etc.

Happy Birthday sweet Lucy Faye!
Tomorrow is Lucy Faye's 4th Birthday! We love her so much, she is kind and gentle with the babies... even when she is taking a beating from Taylor. We will spend the day like we have for each one of her birthdays. A nice stake dinner (one for Lucy too). A doggie birthday cake and her usual gifts: a new collar and stuffed toy.

Best Gift Ever
My parent bought Dusty and I the best gift ever! After struggling during the first few weeks juggling Taylor and Cooper when out and about they picked up this little beauty for us. And let me just tell you... my life is sooooo much easier. Taylor loves her new seat and cooper is as snug as a bug. Plus the Bob is light weight and super easy to maneuver. They are the BEST. The BEST I TELL YOU!!!! This gift is way beyond anything that we expected or deserved.

Hello waist, I missed you
I'm so glad to have my figure back. I love being pregnant but it's nice to be back in my skinny jeans again. Great timing since the weather is amazing today and we are gearing up for summer in San Diego. I wish I could pick up these pretty dresses from Anthropologie to celebrate.

Zipper Flats

Do you read Craftaholics blog? You should save her to your favorites. I love to gather ideas from crafty momma's just like her. Look at how she snazzed up these flats with zippers. Darling

3 weeks
I can't believe Cooper is 3 weeks old. We are completely smitten with him. He has fallen into a wonderful little routine and is getting so big. On Tuesday he weighed in at 7.1 lbs, still much smaller than Taylor was when she was born but a wonderful improvement. He is very alert and has the most remarkable head control. I thought Taylor was strong but this little man is amazing. When we were at a friends house some of my mommy friends gasped when they saw him holding his head so steady. He is super strong just like his Daddy!
We have been humbled with weeks worth of dinner deliveries, incredible baby gifts and the best hand me downs. We are so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives. Now that we are settled I can't wait for all of the visitors we are having over the next few months.
{Look at these chubby cheeks! So glad to see them on his cute face}

Team Dunaway Last Week

Sassy
Cuddling before bedtime. Taylor's hair is wet and all over the place but I love how gentle she is with Coop.
Dress up. Taylor pulled out all of my swimsuits and found that silly hat of mine while I was in the shower. This is what she looked like when she came downstairs. She ran into the kitchen to Grammie and said "TA DA" She really knows how to make a statement.
Taylor and I making a chocolate cake for the 4th of July Party.
Cooper and Rylan. Rylan is only 4 days older than our little man. She was 9.2 lbs at birth and Coop was 5.14 lbs. Look at the size difference now! Coop is about 7.8 lbs and Rylan is 12 lbs. They are a cute pair!
4th of July BBQ. We had a wonderful time eating amazing food, and playing in the back yard. With some of our favorite friends. This is Taylor and Makenna getting in the bounce house.
{ Please note the pretty pink purse that Taylor would not put down the entire party }
My mom bought bubble wands for all of the kids. I think the dads loved them as much as the toddlers.

Cooper in his 4th of July outfit.

Best Big Sister
