Growin' Up

Can you believe how much Taylor has grown up? She is speaking in full sentences and getting sassier by the minute. The other day she said.... "Mama, Miss Jessie says no pushing please" Miss Jessie is her teacher and I was pushing Lucy off my growing belly. She is so funny, and she was right... NO pushing.

Bedding

AT LAST!!!!! I found a group of bedding that I love. What is the most important is that I throw some sporting ( crap ) into the mix. Here is the break down.
Moses Basket and Stand (from Restoration Hardware)
Twill Bumper and bed skirt ( from Restoration Hardware)
This is another picture of the bumper. (It's stitched like denim, simple and classic... no monogram)
4 pillow from Restoration Hardware( Dusty's high school football number)
Sports Sheets from Pottery Barn Kids ( not that bumper, thank heaven!)

Sports Blanket from Pottery Barn Kids. Folded our green rocking chair
Window coverings from Pottery Barn Kids
Lamp Shade from Pottery Barn Kids ( not the base )

Indiana Flag ( self explanatory and we will get a Chargers flag as well)

( now the BIG question! Who is going to help pay for all of this stuff... hehe)

Counting the Days

We are down to days! Little Cooper will be here soon... and let me tell you, we are NOT ready. By not ready I mean we have no bedding, not clothing, nothing is set up ( crib)... I can go on and on. But I am starting to have a plan. I'll keep you posted with pictures and details.

Baby Shower

I've had two very wonderful baby showers over the past few weeks. I really am so blessed to have the BEST girlfriends in the whole world. Even when I say " don't you dare through me a silly shower.. it's not appropriate for a second baby" these lovely ladies don't listen. Here are some pictures from my shower last week.
Some of my best girlfriends are having babies at the same time as me... What are the odds?
Kristin (due June 7th) Me ( due June 22nd) Mariella ( Due June 25th)
We are all having the opposite sex for our second baby. Isn't that lovely!
(p.s. I'm really tall)

I kinda fell off the face of the planet

Last week was a crazy whirlwind. My apologies for not touching base with you all. Work was very very busy and I'm trying to get as much quality time with Taylor before Cooper is born. I also spent all of Friday afternoon at the doctor with "mild stress induced contractions" 35 weeks would not be a horrible time to deliver this little man but it's not ideal so this weekend I was on mandatory "no stress and relax" orders. And on top of it all I lost a freaking pound instead of gaining the 5 that was demanded. ARGHHHHHH. and I ate... trust me.... I ate a lot!!!

Strong lady

Yep.. this crazy lefty liberal is really taking a liking to Mrs. Bush. I have been reading little segments from her book ( the free stuff you can get online, until I make it to the library) and I must say... I do love a strong women who will admit when her husband had made very poor decisions and blatantly disagree with some of his policies. But what I like the most.... She organizes her personal library by the duodecimal system. That my friends is AMAZING!!!

Dunaway Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mothers Day. Dusty and Taylor were so wonderful and we had the most amazing time.
Dusty took us to Julian ( a little mining town east of San Diego) for a wonderful breakfast and a little dig for gold... and rocks!... { good belly shot. 35 weeks!}
Taylor loved diggin for rocks and has been caring them around in a little pouch ever since.

This is the school. Which is still in use today and was built in the late 1800's. 3 class rooms for k-8 grade. CRAZY!!
Taylor playing with the goats and showing us her rocks.

going through the loot!
My pretty flowers and cards. Taylor and Dusty gave me the yellow roses. Dustys dad and step mom sent me the potted plant ( Which I love) Our house looks so bright and cheerful.
Thanks to all of the phone calls and text messages yesterday. Wishing me a wonderful day. I am one lucky momma.

The week for dinner

After a quick ultrasound last week we found out that...
a. I need to fatten up.
b. Cooper needs to fatten up.
I have 7 weeks to go and need to up my calorie intake by 800 calories a day. { When you are pregnant you should up your calories by 200 } The plan to be at least 135 lbs by next wed! Lucky for me I have the fastest metabolism known to man, not so lucky for Cooper. But I'm committed!! Let's EAT PEOPLE.

Sunday: We had some dear friends over for family dinner. I made chicken tacos, corn salad, back beans and rice.
Monday: Breakfast for dinner! Ham and cheese omelette's, hash browns and bacon. Hello Fatty... and yummy
Tuesday: Sausage stuffed peppers and green salad
Wednesday: Cinco de Mayo party and a friends house.
Thursday: Chicken Roll Ups., Rice ( not whole grain.... the good stuff that has no real nutritional value but tastes to yummy) and asparagus's
Friday: Mommy Daughter Date night... Dusty is headed out for a night on the town with his work. Taylor and I are going to make our own personal pizzas!! and pop home made popcorn with lots of butter and salt.

300

Can you believe that this is my 300th POST? I am so thankful for all over my lovely readers. The kind emails that I receive and the fact that you even care about my little life and the pickled bean. If I knew who you all were I would....
Buy you these pretty flowers
Bake you this tart
Take you to Hires for a Big H. ( My favorite cheeseburger from Salt Lake)
Give you a kiss from this pretty lady.... our Lucy Faye, she gives the best kisses.

Wonderful Weekend

We have the most wonderful weekends at the Dunaway house. There is nothing better than having Daddy home to play. This weekend we camped in the backyard, practiced our golf swing and had a wonderful Sunday dinner with the Genovese's. It's nice to relax and spend our down time together. Can't wait until Copper is here to join in the fun. ( 7 more weeks, my guess is more like 5!)
