Try this recipe. You will love me for it.

Last week I made the most amazing slow cooker smothered mushroom and garlic pork chops. Dusty and Taylor couldn't get enough { Taylor actually ate 1 1/2 pork chops for dinner and asked for more} You must try this. So easy and mommy friendly.
4 bone in thick cut pork chops
1/4 cup flour
salt and pepper
1 tsp dried mustard
1 package mushrooms, cleans and sliced
1/2 package of Lipton onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom and garlic soup
1/4 cup chicken stock
Mix the flour salt and pepper and dried mustard. Dredge pork chops and fry in a skillet until light brown. Place in the bottom of a slow cooker. Mix Mushrooms, soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and chicken stock and pour over pork chops. Cook on Low setting for 7 to 8 hours. They will fall off the bone and be fork tender. I threw some parsley on for color.
I served them with rice but it would be wonderful with egg noddles. Enjoy

My birthday is just minutes away and I have been dreaming about this little beauty. Think of all the crafty lovelies that I could whip up. I plan on picking her up at Sears, just in case you want to send me a gift card. Wink.. Wink.. nudge.. nudge

Diaper Cake
Everyone I know is pregnant or planning on getting pregnant. I feel like we are having another baby boom. No one has money to go out, so they stay home and make babies. Last week I attended the most lovely baby shower with these ladies...

{ no I am not pregnant... just look pudgy in that dress, thank you very much}
I made this diaper cake for new mommy Lisa. I had a great time putting it together, and I like the way it turned out.

This is what happens...
We're Back!
After 3 very long days we are all set up and ready to roll. I apologize for not getting these out to your sooner but in true form I did something super stupid with my Mac and had to take it to the Mac doctor.... so here we are, at last.
A recap. The movers came on Friday at 11:00am and the last pictures were hung on the walls, shelves dusted and floors vacuumed by 3 on Sunday. A million thank yous to my wonderful girlfriends for a week worth of dinners and 3 days of free babysitting so I could get everything done. It would have never been done so quickly without you. Kiss Kiss. Here are some pictures of the new place... video this afternoon.

It's finally here! See you in ONE week
{ my family is darling}
We are officially moving out of our house on Friday. I can't believe it. This move is bittersweet for us, there have been a few tears while packing but we are thrilled to be saving so much money. Our house is empty and every box is organized and ready to be moved. I love that we are putting a lot into storage. Simplifying our life and streamlining our home is liberating. I am going to take a lot of pictures documenting the move and the transition to our new place. Please be patient. Although I am very organized and ready ( with spreadsheets and floor templates) I will need at least a week to be back up and running. I should also mention that during this packing and moving fiasco I have hired a new nanny that starts on Monday. ( our old nanny, who I LOVE, is moving)
I really feel like I haven't been able to give the Pickled Bean as much attention as it deserves. I feel like we are on the brink of something big, but I have had to hold off until we are settled. It's been frustrating and I really look forward to getting back into the swing of things.
Please think of us over the next week. Send up your good thoughts, prayers and energy.
xoxo
