Advice

I wanted to thank everyone so very much for all of the kind words and advice over the last few days. Some of my favorites.....

Rest, relax and redefine who you are! My advice is to not jump into anything (volunteer or otherwise) for at least 6 months! Decompress!!!!!! You deserve it! I chose to take everything out of my life and then SLOWLY add things back in after 9+ months! That way, I can self reflect when I am feeling over scheduled again and "spring clean" my schedule on a constant basis!

Get involved in the community. The library always has lots of things to do and you can meet other moms and stuff. I do one outing every morning and then we play at home/do house work in the afternoon. Good luck!

It's a gift!! Just turn the page in your own time (easier said than done!)

ensure you take a couple of hours spread out in the week for 'Ashley time', have a regular 'date night'.

What I have found is that these first two days have been terrifying and perfectly delightful. I feel incredibly blessed to have to many people in my corner.

Now what?

Gulp --- I am officially a SAHM.

Last night I went to bed thinking, now what?!? this morning I woke up with the greatest sense of peace. I know that this is the best decision for our little team. To start: back to great family meals and lots of picture taking. I put together a comprehensive home school program for Taylor (not to overwhelming: fun science projects and workbooks plus lots and lots of art) so she doesn't miss a step before kindergarten. Continuing focus on Coopers Therapies and getting him ready for preschool, and I am going to have a lot more time to blog about our little life.

Back to Basic's...

This Week for Dinner

Monday: Poached Salmon, Spinach and Cous Cous
Tuesday: BBQ Chicken Breast, Homemade Mac and Cheese and steamed Broccoli.
Wednesday: Gilled Portobello mushroom and swiss cheese sandwiches and a big side salad
Thursday: White Chicken Enchilada's with roasted corn
Friday: Left Overs
Saturday: We are headed camping to Yosemite for some much needed family time and R&R

In other news... like big big news

I will be back to blogging in a few short weeks! After a lot of tears and soul searching I decided to resign from my AMAZING position with WilsonHCG.

I absolutely love my company and what I do each and every day but at this point I really need to be home with Taylor and Cooper. This was a heart wrenching decision but in the end I know that it is what is best for our family. I can't think of another profession that is as hard as a stay at home mom. And truth be told I am scared out of my big girl panties!!! My last day will be the first week of June, so I am going to soak up every last minute of professional juice that I can.

I feel like in the last (ummmmm) six months I have had so much to share about our team and I can't wait to get back to the blogging world, and I am so excited to start the summer with my little team. We plan to see lots of family and friends traveling to SLC and Ohio ( fingers crossed ) and soaking up a lot of sun.

I also can't wait to share all of the Williams Syndrome pictures from the nationwide walks. We had over 90 people walk in support of Team Super Cooper Nationwide. We had walkers in Ohio, Utah, Florida, San Diego and San Francisco. Looking at the pictures is beyond overwhelming. We have the best family and friends in the world and Cooper is blessed to have there support. Brace yourself. It will give you the chills!!!!
