Big changes for the Pickled Bean.
After having my entire blog stolen: the name, look, pictures and concept, ( can you believe that??? People, Arghhh) I have decided to change the scope of my little blog. I won't even go into the details as you don't need my soap box rant, but I will tell you that imitation is not a form of flattery it's just plain creepy!!Over the past six months I have really struggled with the "concept" of this little thing. The only reason why I had started to blog in the first place was to have a format for my little clippies. After the birth of Cooper and starting to recruit more I just didn't have the time to keep things up to date and maintain the quality of the work that was needed to make it worth while. I kept going back and forth about whether I really wanted to keep this thing going. But the truth is, this silly blog is one of the only ways that some of our family and friends keep in touch with us. We have moved so often and our family is stretched from California to Ireland this just happens to be the best place for people to reconnect with team Dunaway.
A few weeks ago I was going through some old family photo albums and it struck me how sad it is that I don't have them for my kids. I have pictures and a lot of them but I always go through my camera and remove all of the random or funny face pictures. It's like I've been deleting our real day to day existence. Don't you hate all of the blogs and facebook pictures where everyone looks perfect. Please it's so unrealistic!
So that leaves me with the New Pickled Bean. For family and friends old and new and all my random readers who have followed The Pickled Bean for the beginning: an archive of team Dunaway lots and lots of real pictures from our daily lives. ( taken from my phone, quickly and usually missing the moment) Very little commentary from me ( who cares what I think anyway, right) Recaps of funny things my kids say and do, Things we love to eat, people we love, etc etc. Follow us or don't follow us...in all honesty I don't care, I'm doing this all for my little family so we have a scrapbook and time stamp of our daily lives.
