Craft time with Lily

We are thrilled to share this post from Lily. Lily is our {extra fantastic, can't live without her, second mommy} Nanny. I can not say enough about how much Lily means to our little team. She was the first person that Dusty saw after Cooper's diagnosis, she was calm and understanding and has been a constant support during this transition. She even took the time to do her own research on Williams Syndrome and has been able to give us suggestions on ways we can do our early intervention. She also helps us with all of our Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy "homework" One thing is certain... she was raised right and must have wonderful parents. Our children adore her... we all adore her!

Lily will be sharing little posts every now and again with fun projects, crafts, and recipes. This is going to get a great addition to the Pickled Bean and I can't wait to share her with you.

There's really nothing Taylor anticipates more than our weekly "activities"...or better known as the wonderful crafts and adventures Ashley and I find on Pinterest. Taylor: " Doing our [activities] together make us best friends Lily, right?" Lily: "Yes, of course Taylor!"
Just in time for Easter, we stumbled upon Alissa's Easter Egg Garland craft from her website, craftyendeavor.com. Using embroidery thread, heavy duty modge podge and water balloons, we created beautiful egg-shaped decorations hung on a ribbon.

Directions:
After pouring the entire container of modge podge into a medium sized bowl, gently dip embroidery thread into modge podge. We found that laying it in a neat circle helped keep it from getting tangled. After thread is covered in glue, wrap around blown-up water balloon using the entire thread. Let dry overnight. Use skewer to poke out dry left-over glue. This was Taylor's favorite part! Hang using ribbon. We chose pastel colored embroidery thread, but you could use any color. Enjoy!
